An experienced R&D Engineering Manager is sought to lead the Electronic Hardware Design Team in Chandigarh. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, people leadership, and hands-on project management.
Key Responsibilities
•Lead the design and development of electronic hardware systems including PCB schematic capture, layout, prototyping, and testing.
•Drive PLC and/or FPGA-based system design and development.
•Lead the development of test fixtures and automated test systems for product validation.
•Provide technical leadership, system architecture guidance, and design oversight.
•Review and approve schematics, PCB layouts, test plans, firmware interfaces, and validation reports.
•Ensure designs meet quality, reliability, manufacturability, and regulatory requirements.
•Lead and mentor a team of hardware engineers and technicians, supporting hiring and performance management.
•Manage R&D projects end-to-end, including schedules, deliverables, risk assessment, and resource planning.
•Coordinate with cross-functional teams including firmware, software, manufacturing, and quality.
•Establish and maintain strong engineering documentation, design review, and change management practices.

Skills Needed
1. Understanding of electronic design from concept to product.
2. Deep understanding of working with different sensors, modules, etc. for building applications.
3. Proficiency in VHDL, AMD/Xilinx Vivado tool-set, RTL Coding style Signal processing, Serial communication protocols, state machines, memory interface architecture and simulation.
4. Ability to develop FPGA modules that implement variety of sensor interfaces, data acquisition systems, high speed communication modules, signal processing, multi-layer closed loop adaptive controls, memory management, efficient software-hardware interface, interrupts, etc.
